our statement of faith

1.   We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. We believe that men were moved by The Holy Spirit to write it and it is therefore without error in its original form.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works[1].
2 Timothy 3:16-17

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.[2] 2 Peter 1:21

 2.  We believe in one God who is the creator of all things. In all His perfection and glory, He is almighty existing in three persons. The eternal spirit, self-existent and sovereign without limitation except for the possibility to do evil. He has revealed Himself to man through creation, His prophets and scripture.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord[3] Deuteronomy 6:4
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.[4] Matt. 5:48
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matt. 28:19

3. We believe in Jesus Christ is the second person of the Godhead.  God the Father according to His eternal purpose sent God the Son, Jesus, to take on the form of mankind. He was born of the virgin Mary. Although seen by us as a man He possessed all attributes of God being equal and eternal. As sinless God-man He revealed the Father, voluntarily dying on the cross as a perfect substitutionary penalty for all man. He rose from the grave and bodily ascended to heaven and is seat in authority with the Father.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him[5] 2 Corinthians 5:21

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Ephesians 1:20

4.  We believe in The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, who together with the Father and the Son is coequal. He is the active transforming agent who teaches, reminds, convicts, councils inspire, reveals and impowers, comforts and helps. He saves us through the washing and renewal by The Holy Spirit. Titus 3:4

5.  We believe God created Adam and Eve, man and women He created them as image -bearers.  Man’s purpose was to enjoy fellowship with Him as family.  As ones who were able to reflect God design of holiness and faithfulness they instead chose to rebel. Their fatal decision would cause their separation from Gods presence and eventual death.

And the Lord formed man out of the dust of the ground…and man became a living soul. Gen 2:7

6.  We believe since God desire is for fellowship with man, from the foundations of the world He has set forth the plan of redemption through His Son The Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet to all who receive him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

 7.    We believe that the plan of restoration has been accomplished through Jesus’ death and resurrection. That all who put their trust in the redemption He has provided will be restored to a right relationship with the Father. As a result, we who have been restored would live as image -bearers continuously being transformed through the process of the Holy Spirit.

But as he who called you is holy; you also be holy in all your conduct.
1 Peter 1:15

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Titus 3:5

8.   We believe that The Church is The Body Of Christ established on earth by the Holy Spirit 50 days after Jesus’ death. Christ is the head of the Church and consist of the living body of believers who meet regularly to worship, fellowship and study His Word.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42

9.   We believe that marriage is between one man and one woman. We believe God has created marriage for the purpose to reveal to the world the relationship between Christ and His Church. He has instituted it as an unchangeable foundation of social and sexual order, a picture of self-sacrifice, commitment and forgiveness.

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed undefiled.
Hebrews 13:4

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife…This is a great mystery: but I speak of Christ and the church. Eph 5:31-32

 10.  We believe in the baptism of believers, those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ and are trusting in Him alone and His ultimate and complete atonement. It is a public act of obedience. Baptism, like circumcision in the old covenant, is an outward sign of an inward desire to conform to His Lordship.  Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Cor. 2:10-12, Mark 16:16
